Bulgaria lost to Germany 0:3 its second game in Group "B" of the EURO 2017 in Georgiand. The match was played at Tengiz Burjanadze stadium in Gori infront of 3000 spectators. The Bulgarians played with 10 men down since the 19th minute after Andrea Hristov was sent off.

First half

Germany opened the scoring in the 10th minute. Amenyido engineered some space for himself with a fast turn before getting away a shot which took a sizeable deflection off Andrea Hristov and  the ball went into the net. In the 19th minute the Germans doubled their lead from a penalty kick. Andrea Hristov was capped off with a red card for hauling down Etienne Amenyido after being outmuscled by the forward on the edge of the area. Gokhan Gul overcame Naumov from the spot kick and Frank Kramer`s team went ahead with a two goal lead. In the 34th minute the young lions should have had a penalty after Kaloyan Krastev was brought down by the goalie Bansen into the penalty area, but the refferee denied the spot kick.

Second half

Despite being reduced to 10 men down the Bulgarians attacked and pressed the opponent. In the 47th minute Angel Stoykov`s players created their best opportunity since the beggining of the match. Tonislav Yordanov tried to score with a powerful shot outside the box, but missed the target. Three minutes later Genchev found Krastev with a cross, but Slavia`s forward header went wide. In the 55th minute Etienne Amenyido was clipped in the area by Vasil Dobrev, and Sidney Friede found the net from the spot kick to make it 3:0. Until the end of the match Mateo Stamatov and Stanislav Ivanov came off the bench to replace Ivaylo Naydenov and Kaloyan Krastev respectively.

In the final minutes Stanislav Ivanov could have made it 1:3 but his shot went wide.

In the other match of the group England beat the Netherlands 1:0.

Thus Englands leads the Group with 6 points followed by the Netherlands and Germany with 3 points and Bulgaria 0.
