France opened the score in the third minute, when Blais Matuidi scored from a small range after Antoine Grizzman's perfect assist. In the first half, the guests had some other good opportunities to score but did not took none of them.

Bulgaria were close to get the equalising goal in the 37th minute when Nedelev tried to find the net from 18 meters, Loris made a save and Delev took the rebound to find Kostadinov who tried to score from a small range but Loris has made another difficult save and in the end Slavchev has made a shot from outside the penalty box, but the ball has passed right above the cross bar.

After the break, Petar Hubchev's team played with more aggression, and Kostadinov on 52 minute failed to put the ball into the net after a good cross from the right.

Until the end Bulgaria made several good attacks but failed to finish either of them. Against France Stanislav Manolev has made his 50th appearance for Bulgaria .
