The president of the Bulgarian Football Union Borislav Mihaylov sent an official letter to the UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin declaring the support of the Bulgarian federation for his re-election as head of European football.
"Dear Mr. President,
It is my honor to formally announce the support of the Bulgarian Football Union for your candidacy at the UEFA congress next February.
The unanimous belief of the BFU’s governing body is that your mandate as head of UEFA has been marked by exceptional development in terms of the magnitude and success of all international and club competitions as well as the extraordinary passion you demonstrate in striving to keep the integrity of the game immaculate and unblemished.
I would sincerely like to congratulate you on everything that has been achieved under your guidance – and, from a both professional and a personal standpoint, I would like to extend my genuine gratitude as well as my hope and trust of your re-election in Rome.
I am extremely pleased that many of the National Associations share this particular point of view and am therefore certain that you and your staff will continue to set an example of the effective implementation of a new, modern and progressive philosophy on the future of football.
Mr. President, please accept my earnest greetings on your official nomination. I wish you all the best in the upcoming elections", wrote Mihaylov.
On August 21st seven European National Associations declared the nomination of Ceferin for a second mandate as head of UEFA. The elections will be held at the UEFA congress in Rome in February 2019.
